My Inky Friends Design Challenge Number 1 Dec 29th 2017

Welcome to our very first design challenge, I am super excited to be part of a brand new monthly Design Challenge with my fabulous Inky Friends and you can play along too! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who met through an online community. We get to create something new and have lots of fun along the way. For our design challenge, we request that you be inspired by page 61 of the Annual Catalog which is pictured below

We would love it if you took part and joined in on the fun. All you have to do is design a card and upload it to the My Inky Friends Blog. After the link closes on Friday, January 12, 2018, we will post a winner. If you upload to an online gallery, please use the keyword MIFDC1

1. Follow the general design of a sketch, although it can be flipped. For a color challenge, Stampin’ Up! colors will be listed. You can use compatible colors and add neutrals as needed.
2. Create something new that has not been posted before.
3. Post your creation on yhour blog or online gallery, please provide a link back to our challenge. Provide a direct link to your project or post to the Linky.
4. Feel free to combine with up to three challenges, as long as you include a link to the Inky Friends post.
5. Have fun!

Cutting & Scoring

• Card base is in Berry Burst cut at 5 ½” by 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
• Lemon Lime Twist cut at 1 ½” by 6″
• Designer Series Paper cut at 3″ by 4″
• Vellum cut at 3″ by 4″
• Whisper White piece cut at 2 7/8″ by 3 7/8″
• Whisper White (for the inside) cut at 4″ by 5 ¼”
• Silver Ribbon 12″

Instructions

• Fold card base in half, stamped tone on tone in the corners
• Used The Banner Tripple Punch and flagged off the ends of the Lemon Lime Twist piece and attached it to the card
• Placed the DSP at an angle
• Then placed the Vellum on top also at an angle
• Stamped the focal image on the Whisper White piece
• Took the Silver ribbon and cut it and placed it on the card in an X type placement
• Popped the focal image up with Dimensional’s
