My Inky Friends Design Challenge No 7

Hi Stamping Friends!

I am super excited to be apart of these monthly Design Challenges with my wonderful Inky Friends.  We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who met through an online community. We get to create something new and have lots of fun along the way. This months sketch is above.

Here is what I made:

I was raining when I made my card and all I could think of was, damn I thought it is summer. We have had a rough start to summer. So I went with bright and cheery.

Cutting & Scoring

• Whisper White – 4 1/4″ by 11″ score and folded at 5 1/2″
• Old Olive – 3 3/4″ by 5″
• Designer Series Paper – 1 1/2″ by 5″ flagged shorter
• Melon Mambo – 4″ by 4″
• Whisper White – 4″ by 5″

Instructions

• Fold card base in half
• With the Old Olive piece I ran it through the Big Shot using the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. Added it to the card
• The DSP I flagged the bottom and attached it over to the side
• Stamped my sentiment and flagged the one end
• Ran the Whisper White piece through the Big Shot using the Stitched Labels Framelit Dies
• I then took my Paper Snips and cut a hole in the frame
• Die Cut the butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits
• I added the frame to the card and had the butterfly over to the side attached the sentiment
• Tied a bow with the Nature’s Twine
• Finished the card off with Rhinestones

On each fourth Friday of the month a new challenge will post on the My Inky Friends Blog and I will also post my creations there. You can play along at any time, but if you want to be in the contest, then you need to post your creation within two weeks. The challenges will focus on finding inspiration from our Catalogs.

Between challenges, we will still have monthly blog hops on the second weekend for even more inspiration!
