MIF Design Challenge No 15

Hi Friends! Happy Friday!

I am super excited you could join me today for another monthly Design Challenge with my wonderful Inky Friends. We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who met through an online community . We get to create something new and have lots of fun along the way.

Mary chose a color challenge from the Occasions Catalog found on page 37. Here is what I made:

Cutting & Scoring

• Pool Party – 5 ½” x 8 ½” score and fold at 4 ¼”
• Whisper White – 4″ x 5 ¼” inside card
• Botanical Butterfly DSP – 3″ x 5 ½”
• Whisper White – 4 ¼” x 5 ½”
• Whisper White – 1″ x 4″ flag

Instructions

• Fold card base in half
• Add DSP to the bottom of the card
• On the Whisper White 4 ¼” x 5 ½” stamp a flower in Mamento Ink
• Stamp a flower on a scrap piece of paper and cut it out (this will become your mask flower)
• Take the masked flower and cover the first flower you stamped and stamp another flower
• Repeat flower on the opposite side
• The two end flowers I used Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends
• The center flower I used a Sponge Dauber (My Pool Party Blends are dry)
• For the Leaves and the center of the flowers I used Old Olive Stampin’ Blends
• Cut along the bottom of the flowers and placed Dimensionals behind it and added it to the card
• On the 1″ x 4″ I stamped the sentiment in Memento Ink and sponged Old Olive on top, flagged one end
• Placed the sentiment on the DSP
• Tied two bows and used Glue Dots to stick it down
• Randomly added Rhinestones
