Inky Friends Love It Live It Share It Blog Hop Feb 2018 Petal Palette
Hello and Welcome to Inky Friends Love It Share It Blog Hop for Feb 2018!
We are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list. I chose Petal Palette and I made this really cute Notebook. This suite is defiantly my favorite.
The hardest part was trying to Laminate cause I figured out I bought the wrong stuff but it still worked. They make really lovely gifts to give to a friend or to have in your handbag (pocketbook)

Cutting & Scoring
- For the cover of the Notebook I have that cut at 5 ½” by 10 7/8″
- On the 10 7/8″ score at 3 ¾”, 4″, 4 ¼”, 4 ½”, 8 3/8″, 8 5/8″, 8 7/8″ and 9 1/8″
- Copy paper for the inside cut at 4 ¾” by 7 ½”
- DSP cover/sleeve cut at 4 ¾” by 7 ½”
- Basic Black cut at 1 ¾” by 11″ belly band
- Gold Foil cut at 2 ¾” by 2 ¾”
- Whisper White cut at 2 ¼” by 2 ¼”
Instructions
- Score and burnish all the score lines as indicated with measurements above, before you laminate the cover round the corners
- Laminate the cover and cut away the excess and round the corner
- With the Handheld 1/8″ Circle Punch, punch 3 holes on the top and bottom
- Thread the Gold elastic thread
- Cut your copy paper to size indicated above and with a pile fold it over
- Take the DSP cover/sleeve and add it around the paper
- Feed it into the notebook cover, through the Gold elastic
- Before I did the last thread through the hole I added a Gold Mini Tassel
- I used a Gold Binder clip to hold it closed but I felt like it was incomplete
- I cut a strip and wrapped it around the Notebook and used Tear & Tape to seal it
- Die cut a Gold Foil Scalloped Circle with the Layering Circle Framelits
- Stamped the flower on Whisper White and cut it out with the Layering Circles
- Added it to the belly band
- Added another Binder Clip to the bottom and then I felt like it was complete
- Optional but you can also stamp all the pages with a flower which I did cause I am funny like that. lol
Well I hope you will give this a try! Thanks so much for joining in on the fun, don’t forget to hop along and leave us some comments, we love to hear from you. Hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend.

I’m sorry, I FEEL REALLY DUMB RIGHT NOW. so, I’m GOING TO ASK QUESTIONS. I’m sorry, forgot to turn off capitals. I had my shoulder replaced and can only type with one hand. I’ve never made a notebook before but, I really want to try. Why 2 different pieces of DSP? Is it possible you or someone else could make a video? I’ve read the instruction about 4 times and I still don’t know how to make it. Thank you for sharing
