Inking Up The Retiring In Colors Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Inking Up The Retiring In Colors Blog Hop for April 2018!

We are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list. I chose Peekaboo Peach as my main color focus. I love any shade of orange. Here is what I made

Inky Friends April Blog Hop

I made a shaker card. This is my first time ever making one. What!!! I love how the card turned out but I don’t like how hard it was to line up the paper. There has to be an easier way. I will be looking into that and any tips would be appreciated.

Inky Friends April Blog Hop 2018

I am sad this color is leaving us soon. Boo! Maybe one day it will return.

Cutting & Scoring

  • Thick Whisper White –Β  4 ΒΌ” by 11″ score and folded at 5 Β½”
  • Picture Perfect Party DSP – 4″ by 5 ΒΌ”
  • Peekaboo Peach – 2″ by 4″
  • Lemon Lime Twist – 4″ by 5″
  • Vellum – 3″ by 3″
  • Whisper White – 3″ by 3″

Instructions

  • Fold card base in half
  • Run the DSP through the big shot with the 2nd to largest Framelit
  • Made a frame with Whisper White by layering the largest and 2nd to largest Stitched Shape Framelits.
  • Stamped on the Vellum circle
  • I placed the DSP on my card so I could stamp on the Whisper White cardstock underneath. Used it as a guide
  • Stamped and Die cut my flowers and leaves
  • I attached the Frame to my DSP
  • Added the Vellum behind it
  • Used Foam Adhesive Strips around the circle and DSP
  • Added the Sequins
  • Placed card on top and prayed I was centered
  • Added Silver Metallic Thread behind one of the flowers and attached the elements around the circled frame
  • Stamped the inside
