Clear Block D Stampin' Up

Adorable!

I love to up cycle! This is a Block D case that the Clear Acrylic block comes in.

I always used to throw these away and I bought a whole bunch not to long ago and I was determined to make something with them.

Baby Food Jar!

I was thinking of making a lovely hand scrub to place in this baby, and pair the two together as a Christmas Gift. I know I’d love to receive one of these.

  • For the Box the Basic Black piece is cut at 3 7/16″ by 4″
  • For the Hershey’s nugget wraps the DSP is cut at 1″ by 3″
  • Piece of Whisper White for the Snow Man cut at 2 ¼” by 4 ¾” (you need 2 pieces)

  • Whisper White for the lid cut at 2″ by 2″

Instructions

  • I took the Basic Black piece cut at 3 7/16″ by 4″ and rounded the corners
  • I used the Embossing Buddy to prep the cardstock and make sure all the oil was off the cardstock. Stamped the “To, From”with Versamark Ink and heat set it with the Gold Embossing powder
  • Wrapped all the Hershey’s nuggets and used Glue Dots to adhere it
  • Placed the nuggets in the container put the backing on and closed it. Took the ribbon and Tied it around the pop out
  • Stamped the Snow Man and Die cut it with the matching Framelits and colored it with the new Stampin’ Blends
  • Used a Glue Dot to adhere the Snow Man on the front
  • For the Baby Jar of food I used the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape and put it around the lid
  • Punched out a 2″ Basic Black circle for the lid as well as a 2 ¾” Whisper White circle where I stamped the sentiment
  • Stamped and Die Cut the Snow Man and colored him in using the Stampin’ Blends
  • Wraped the Jar with the DSP
  • Tied a Bow around it. All that is left to do is make my scrub

I hope you enjoyed todays project and will think about upcycling before getting rid of it. My hubby says I am a hoarder and I’m like hey I can make something with that. What is wrong with you.lol

Hope you are enjoying your weekend! Thanks so much for joining us today!

Gift Bag Stampin' Up Merry Music

How cute is this handbag? Adorable! I did a whole video on how to create this handbag only to realize it only recorded one minute and everything else…..gone!

I wanted to cry. I did a class on Thursday night. My first I might add. So I am a bit behind now.

Gift Bag Stampin' Up

Cutting & Scoring

  • Merry Music 12 by 12
  • Two pieces of Basic Black for the handles cut at ½” by 10″ scored at ¾” on each end

Instructions

  • With the Envelope Punch Board you are gonna line the paper up at 2 ¾” and punch and score repeating that all the way round, when you score you will notice the paper runs off the board and you can’t score any more. Not a big deal as when you flip the paper and repeat the same process you will notice the lines do line up.
  • After you flip the paper and repeat the process all the way round punching and scoring at 2 ¾”
  • You are gonna score all four corners like this

Gift Bag Stampin' Up

  • Take the Simply Scored Scoring board and place your paper into the board. At 6″ inch mark you will score down to where the two lines meet in the middle of the V
  • Pick which side of paper you want on the outside
  • The paper pattern you pick for the outside, you are gonna fold in opposite corners down and glue them. The pattern you want must be underneath
  • Gift Bag Stampin' Up
  • You are gonna take your Bone Folder and enforce all the score lines
  • Take Tear n Tape and the opposite corners the ones that you didn’t glue down add Tear n Tape

Gift Bag Stampin' Up

  • Repeat on the opposite side with the Tear n Tape
  • Turn paper over and add Tear n Tape. Again on the corners that was not glued down

Gift Bag Stampin' Up

  • If you notice in the two pictures above the inverted L’s are different that’s cause on one side of the paper and the other side, and again the Tear n Tape is on the sides that doesn’t have the two glued down corners.
  • Remove the backing and fold in all the pieces that you scored down at the 6″ mark and attach all the way round. Should look like this. See below

Gift Bag Stampin' Up

  • Take the remainder of the tape off on the inside and attach it to the wall of the box
  • Place the box on the Simply Scored Scoring Board and make sure its butted up to the base
  • Gift Bag Stampin' Up
  • Score at like 5 ¼” mark across
  • Repeat on the other side too
  • Fold in the score lines and attach with glue so only a small piece is left.

Gift Bag Stampin' Up

  • I used Velcro for the closure
  • Stamped the sentiment and die cut it with the Layering Circle Framelits
  • Die cut the Scalloped Circle in Basic Black and attached to the bag
  • Tied a bow around one of the handles and added Tissue Paper

What I love about this project is if you change the paper you get a whole different look. It’s just stunning and I hope you will give this project a try.
