Hello & welcome to Stampers By The Dozen Blog Hop March 2018. The theme chosen for this months Blog Hop is Background Techniques.

We are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list. For my background I decided to use the Brushos. I am not sure how I feel about them yet (kinda have that love, hate)

Here is what I made:

I would say you defiantly have to play around with this new products. There is a lot to learn with this stuff.

Cutting & Scoring

  • Base Daffodil Delight cut at 5 ½” by 8 ½” scored at 4 ¼”
  • Basic Black cut at 4″ by 5 ¼”
  • Watercolor Paper cut at 3 ½” by 4 7/8″
  • Basic Black flag cut at 1″ by 3 ¾”
  • Whisper White cut at ¾” by 3 ¼”

Instructions

  • Take you Embossing Buddy and wipe your Watercolor paper
  • Ink up your stamp using the Versamark Ink
  • Cover it with Embossing Powder
  • Remove excess
  • Heat set
  • Spitz your paper, add Brusho Crystals
  • Die cut the butterfly using the Basic Black mat layer (not to waste paper)
  • Stamp the sentiment and flag the ends on the ¾” by 3 ¼”
  • Attach to the Basic Black 1″ by3 ¾” flag
  • Place Silver Metallic Thread behind the flag
  • Add Rhinestones on the butterfly
  • Randomly add Metallic Enamel Shapes

    Sharleen, your card is bright and cheery, I love it! I am in agreement with you, you need to play with Brusho’s(R) to get the hang of using them but you did wonderfully. I love blue and yellow together, they always put a smile on my face.
