Friday is the day—the NEW 2017 Holiday Catalog is released and the official kick-off to the holiday crafting season begins! However today’s card set is not about Christmas.
This 6 by 6 inch paper is AMAZING. I love that I could use 1 sheet and make 4 cards with a few other supplies
So pretty, the birthday group I belong to will love these. I send out tons of birthday cards each month so I love that I could get 4 cards with 1 sheet.
I always say the inside of your cards are just as important as the front.
Inside
Cutting and Scoring
- Card base two in pool party and two in soft sky
- Two card bases are cut at 5 ½ by 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼ and the other two are cut at 4 ¼ by 11 scored at 5 ½
- One sheet of 6 by 6 designer series paper
- Half sheet of calypso coral 5 ½ by 8 ½
- Whisper white piece 4 ¼ by 11 and I used the multipurpose adhesive sheets on that so I could run the happy birthday thinlit through the big shot
Instructions
- I cut off two strips from the DSP at ½ inch each
- I then cut the DSP down at 2 inch by 4 inch and was left with a small square
- The remaining DSP I cut at an angle
- Once I had my pieces I then cut the calypso coral down leaving a ¼ border around my DSP
- Played around, didn’t really have an idea of where things would go
- The card bases I ran through the big shot with the layered leaves embossing folder
