Graceful Garden Card-SBTD Hop 9/2017

By Sharleen

15 Sep

Hello friends am I glad to have you here and join me for another SBTD Blog Hop. ย Thanks for joining me today. Today I am joining a bunch of talented demonstrators from all around the world and we are participating in a SBTD Hop. So much excitement, I really enjoy seeing everyone’s creations, it always amazes me that no two projects are alike.

The theme for today’s hop is “trees, branches and or leaves” here is what I got

Cutting & Scoring

  • Card bases are Calypso Coral cut at 4 ยผ by 11 scored at 5 ยฝ
  • Graceful Garden Designer Series Paper is cut at 2 by 5 3/8 on the first card and 4 by 3 on the second with a strip of 1 by 4
  • Whisper White 4 by 5 ยผ for the insides and some scrap to die cut two circles for the sentiments
  • Fresh fig for the banners

Instructions

  • Cut a piece of DSP from the Graceful Garden DSP at 4 inches and realized there is a 2 inch strip left so I decided to make two cards
  • The first card I used the 2 inch piece and cut it down to fit my card
  • Placed a Delicate Doily under the DSP which I cut in half
  • With a piece of Fresh Fig I cut a strip 1 ยผ by 3 and Flagged one end with the Banner Triple Punch
  • Added a metallic Foil Doily
  • Die cut a circle from the Stitched Shape Framelits for the sentiment which I took from Best Birds stamp set
  • Die cut a flowers from Seasonal Layer Thinlits and for the leaves I punched out with the Leaf Punch
  • The leaves are the back of the DSP which was the remainder of the DSP after cutting all my pieces (no wasting here, we love that!)
  • Finished the flower with a Rimmed Pearl
  • My second card I cut the 3 by 4 DSP and also a strip 1 by 4 and turned the same DSP over (double-sided paper of coarse)
  • Used my other half of the Doily for this card
  • Fresh Fig Banner is 2 by 2 ยฝ
  • The Banner and Doily I hid under the 1 by 4 inch green strip, the attached the sentiment
