Welcome to Global Stamping Friends Anything But Cards Blog Hop! Today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects from Demonstrators all around the world. The theme is ANYTHING BUT CARDS. We are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person. Please don’t forget to leave us comments, we love to hear from you.
Here is what I made:
I did an Avant calendar that will hang on the Christmas Tree kinda like Christmas Ornaments, depending on the size, that would determine what you place inside.
Very hard to explain the Origami that’s involved so I did a YouTube video explaining. Once you do a few they go together like a breeze.
Cutting & Scoring
- This ornament is created with 3 square pieces of Designer Series Paper (I used the Quilted Christmas DSP) that measure 4″ x 4″, but you can make this ornament/gift box in any size you like, as long as you start with 3 square pieces of paper.
- Scrap of Silver Glimmer Paper big enough to die cut the second smallest scalloped circle
- Basic Black Piece big enough to Punch out 1 ¼” Circle Punch
- Whisper White piece big enough to Punch out a 1″ Circle Punch
Instructions
- Score edge-to-edge and corner-to-corner both ways
- Repeat those steps on all 3 pieces of DSP
- With the points facing the right, you will slot the first piece into the second and so on till its closed
- On the last one you will take the 1/8″ Circle Punch and punch a hole along the score line, thread the ribbon and cut off the excess
- Add your treat or toy and close it. It is a bit tricky but you just have to play with it and it fits
