Welcome to Global Stamping Friends September Blog Hop! Today’s Blog Hop is filled with projects inspired by a color challenge, we get given some colors and we get to create projects with just those colors. What fun! we are excited to share our creations with you today. After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My project today showcases the new Glossy White Cardstock. Oh my goodness you guys, some of my pictures are sideways. Please forgive me as I try to fix this issue. My apologies.
Aren’t those colors amazing together?
To get the multi-color effect, I first inked up the rose stamp with Pool Party. Then, with sponge daubers, I added colors in random areas in this order: Smoky Slate, Pool Party and Night of Navy (light to dark). Then, I gently spritzed the stamp with water before stamping on Glossy White cardstock, which gives it a really cool watercoloring effect. With my Aqua Painter I puddled a pool of color in the lid with the Pool Party and tapped on my hand so the ink would splatter all over the card.
Cutting and Scoring
- One card is with Pool Party and that is cut at 5 ½ by 8 ½ scored at 4 ¼
- The Glossy White cardstock is cut at 4 by 5¼
- The other card base is Night Of Navy cut at 4 ¼ by 11 scored at 5 ½
- Then layered with basic black and that is cut at
- Glossy White cardstock is 4 by 5 ¼ same for the inside
