Abstract Impressions With Brushos
I have a super cute and easy card to share with you today and it uses the Abstract Impressions bundle
Such a pretty card the background looks painted with watercolor. Love it!
The butterfly appears to be flying, I only added adhesive on the body of the butterfly.
The second card also packs that WOW and these two cards go hand in hand. This would make a lovely gift set for a friend or co-worker.
Cutting & Scoring
- Thick Whisper White – 5 ½” by 8 ½” score and folded at 4 ¼”
- Blueberry Bushel – 5 ½” by 8 ½” score and folded at 4 ¼”
- Basic Black – 4″ by 5 ¼”
- Whisper White – 3 ¾” by 5″ – Card front
- Inside card – Whisper White – 4″ by 5 ¼”
- Whisper White – 5 ½” by 7 – For Die Cutting – makes 2
Instructions
CARD 1
- I started with the 5 ½” by 7 and used the Thinlits to die cut the large flower arrangement (cut out 2 of them but only used 1)
- With the Basic Black mat layer 4″ by 5 ¼” I die cut 2 butterflies
- On my Thick Whisper White card base I placed the flower arrangement on the card
- Using my Brusho Crystals, I placed the powder onto my clear block and with my Aqua Painter I activated the power and brushed it on top of the flowers (creating a watercolor background)
- Stamped “Thank You” on the bottom
- Placed adhesive onto the butterfly body so it looked like it’s flying and added Pearls to the body
- Took my Stampin’ Write Marker and with the brush end I flicked the tip on the cap making speckles on the card
- Stamped the inside of the card
CARD 2
- The Blueberry Bushel card base got folded in half
- Attached the Basic Black layer
- Stamped “Thank You” on the corner before attaching it to the card
- The Die cut piece that I used on card 1 with the Brushos on. I attached it on top of the Whisper White 3 ¾” by 5″
- Added the butterfly and again only added adhesive to the body
- Finished it off with Pearls on the body
- Stamped Inside of card
